This was one of the first shoots that I did for a new site that I work under. Snappr covers a lot of different states in the US, and has a good amount of great photographers working with them. I had done engagement shoots, but this was the first time I had done a shoot of the actual proposal. Note, this shoot occurred before the Eagle Creek Park proposal.
So, this shoot was a lot of fun. The client and I made our plans for me to be at an area that was above where the actual proposal was happening, so I would be using a zoom lens to shoot down at them without his girlfriend noticing me. He sent me a photo of them, so I knew who to look for on the busy canal. After a little while, and some sneaking texting to make sure how far they were from the area, I spotted a couple slowly walking into view.

What a rush! Taking as many photos as I could, making sure my shutter speed was high and I had continual shutter mode on to not miss any moment. Witnessing a live proposal always makes the heart pound. After the response of "yes", I got to make my way down from my perch to finally meet the couple in person.

The proposal took no time at all, but I was booked with them for an hour. This meant that we got to travel the canal and do an impromptu engagement shoot. While I can't share the entire gallery, I can share some of my personal faves from the afternoon.
It was a beautiful day, and a very lovely and down to earth couple. I'm very happy I was able to be a part of this special moment.
